West Gate Tower, Office building in Sham Shui Po District, Hong Kong.

West Gate Tower is a 25-story office building on Wing Hong Street featuring a glass and steel facade in the Cheung Sha Wan area. The structure houses commercial offices and sits within a mixed-use neighborhood with shops and transport connections nearby.

Construction finished in 1999, marking when Sham Shui Po began its shift from a traditional market district into a modern business center. This project was part of a broader wave of redevelopment across Kowloon during that time.

The building shows how Hong Kong's business areas evolved over time, sitting among traditional street markets and modern office spaces that occupy the same neighborhood. Walking around, you notice how older shops and newer towers share the same streets today.

The location sits roughly 300 meters from Lai Chi Kok MTR station on the Tsuen Wan Line, with easy access to bus routes throughout the area. Nearby facilities include shops and food vendors, making it convenient for visitors or workers.

The tower is owned and operated by a single landlord, which differs from many other commercial properties in Hong Kong where ownership is often divided. This unified ownership structure is uncommon in a city where most large buildings have multiple owners.
