The Lily, Residential tower in Repulse Bay, Hong Kong.
The Lily is a residential complex in Repulse Bay with four connected towers, glass facades, and angular windows rising 28 stories above Repulse Bay Road. The site contains roughly 100 apartments ranging from smaller one-bedroom units to larger five-bedroom homes, along with shared facilities including a swimming pool, gym, and round-the-clock security.
The complex was designed by architect Norman Foster in 2010 for Chinachem Group and marked a turning point in Hong Kong's luxury real estate market. The project introduced a new approach to residential design in the area by combining international standards with local requirements.
The name references the calla lily and appears throughout the design, blending natural forms with contemporary architecture. Residents notice these floral references in the daily details and shapes that structure their living spaces.
The four towers connect via bridges, making navigation between areas straightforward for residents and visitors. The complex sits in an upscale residential neighborhood where parking is available on-site, though public transport nearby offers easy access to other parts of Hong Kong.
Each floor holds only one or two residences, giving owners uncommon privacy within the towers. This layout means every household enjoys complete panoramic views of the South China Sea without sharing their floor with multiple neighbors.
