Tai Shui Hang Bicycle Park, Urban cycling park in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong.
Tai Shui Hang Bicycle Park is a cycling facility in the Sha Tin District of Hong Kong, with tracks suited to different riding abilities. On site there are changing rooms, restrooms, and service stations for bike repairs and maintenance.
The Sha Tin area changed significantly in the 1970s when natural waterways were channelized to support urban growth in the district. The cycling corridor that exists today follows the route shaped by those engineering works along the Shing Mun River.
The park sits along the Shing Mun River and connects to a network of paths that pass through residential areas, temples, and riverside spaces. Many people use it as part of their daily routine rather than as a dedicated sports destination.
The park is open daily and offers bike rental and repair services on site, which makes it easy to visit without bringing your own equipment. Some sections can get slippery in wet weather, so checking conditions before heading out is a good idea.
The park connects to a traffic-free route that runs all the way to Tai Mei Tuk, passing alongside the Science Park. This long corridor was not designed as a leisure route from the start but grew out of the infrastructure built for urban expansion decades ago.
