Stele of Liangzhou

The stone monument stands 2.5 meters tall, 0.9 meters wide, and 0.3 meters thick, displaying 28 lines of inscriptions with 65 characters each.

Erected in 1094, the stele commemorates repairs to the Gantong stupa at Huguo Temple during the Western Xia Dynasty period in central Wuwei.

The monument features text in both Tangut and Chinese scripts, representing the interaction between different civilizations along the Silk Road.

The stele resides in the Wuwei Museum, where visitors can examine the ancient inscriptions and learn about the region's past through guided tours.
