Ye's Private School, also called Zhongxiao Tang Yizhuang, is a brick-and-timber courtyard complex facing south on about 2,350 square metres in Zhongbao Village, Zhuangshi Street, Zhenhai District, Ningbo. Its single-storey hall and east and west wings have carved decoration; the south wall gate bears the name Ye Shi Yi Zhuang. The hall holds a statue of Ye Chengzhong, and the east wing displays his life story.

Ye Chengzhong's son founded the charitable estate in 1902, and it was completed the following year with a granary, a smallpox vaccination office, a fire brigade and the Ye family school. The school opened in 1904 and over 45 years was renamed Zhongxing Hall, Zhongxing School and Zhongxing Primary School. Pupils included Ningbo merchants Bao Yugang, Shao Yifu, Zhao Anzhong and Bao Yushu. The school closed after 1949, and the granary was taken over by the government.

The name Yizhuang refers to a charitable estate; this one, also called Zhongxiao Tang, housed a granary, a smallpox vaccination office and a fire brigade alongside the Ye family school. The school opened in 1904 and was renamed several times over 45 years. Since 2007 the halls have served as a display museum, with a statue of Ye Chengzhong in the main hall and exhibits on his life in the east wing.

The complex faces south and covers about 2,350 square metres, with a single-storey hall and side wings around a courtyard. Enter through the gate in the south wall, which bears the name Ye Shi Yi Zhuang. The hall holds a statue of Ye Chengzhong, and the east wing displays his historical records.

The complex also housed a granary, a smallpox vaccination office and a firefighting association, all founded by the son of Ye Chengzhong, the "hardware king" of the Ningbo merchants. In 1904 the school opened as Ye Shi Yishu and was renamed several times over 45 years. Bao Yugang, Shao Yifu and Zhao Anzhong began their education here.
