Ningbo Center, Skyscraper in Ningbo, China.
Ningbo Center is a skyscraper in Ningbo, China, rising 409 meters across 80 floors. The lower floors house offices, the middle section contains residential apartments, and the upper floors are occupied by a hotel.
Construction on the tower started in 2018, making it the largest building project the city had seen at the time. Ningbo had already grown from a port city into a modern urban center, and this project pushed that transformation further.
The tower stands in the Yinzhou district, one of the newer parts of Ningbo that has grown rapidly in recent decades. The building has become a visible marker of this change and draws visitors curious about the city's newer face.
The building is still under construction, so access to upper floors is not open to the public. The surrounding area can be walked around easily, and the district is well connected to public transit.
The tower was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the American firm behind some of the tallest buildings in the world. This gives the structure an international character that stands out in a Chinese coastal city.
