The rooms are arranged in sections around open interior courtyards, following a layout common to large family households of that era.
The compound was built in the late 1800s and is connected to prominent local figures who shaped life in this region during that period. In 1996 it was listed as a nationally protected cultural site, placing it among the most recognized historical buildings in the area.
