Nanyue Kingdom Palace Museum, Archaeological museum in Guangzhou, China
The Nanyue Kingdom Palace Museum spans 53,000 square meters and contains remains of ancient palaces, gardens, and over five hundred historical wells from different periods.
The site houses the ruins of the Nanyue Kingdom Palace from 203 BC to 111 BC, serving as the capital and center of political power in the Lingnan region.
The museum exhibits showcase artifacts that demonstrate the exchange between central Chinese, Chu, Bashu cultures, and international influences through discovered Persian silver items.
Located at 374 Beijing Road, the museum features permanent exhibitions of unearthed relics, ceramic collections, and archaeological discoveries from twelve historical periods.
The royal garden discovered within the palace grounds represents the earliest documented example of garden architecture in Chinese history.
