Nanyue Kingdom Palace Museum

The Nanyue Kingdom Palace Museum is an archaeological site containing remains of ancient palaces, gardens, and over five hundred historical wells from different periods. The permanent exhibitions display unearthed relics, ceramic collections, and archaeological discoveries spanning a broad range of time.

The site holds the ruins of the Nanyue Kingdom Palace, which served as a political and economic center of the region during its existence. Its establishment marked a turning point in the development of these southern territories, which developed differently from northern centers.

A royal garden discovered within the palace grounds ranks among the earliest documented examples of garden architecture in Chinese history. This garden reveals how landscape design and aesthetics were already important parts of court life at that time.
