People's Park is an urban green space in central Guangzhou with interconnected walking paths threading through landscaped areas. The grounds feature floral gardens and open lawns that provide breathing room in the city.

The park opened in 1921 as Guangzhou's first park, built on land that once held regional government offices from the Sui dynasty. This marked the shift from administrative use to public recreation.

The park's name changed from First Park to Central Park in 1925 and to People's Park in 1966. In 1923 it published China's first park regulations, and on 8 March 1924 it hosted the country's first large-scale International Women's Day gathering. The grounds also held narcissus festivals from 1923 and five chrysanthemum festivals between 1930 and 1949.

The main entrance sits at 2 Lianxin Lu, accessible via Metro exit F at Gongyuanqian station nearby. The flat terrain and clear pathways make it easy to explore at your own pace.

The park's designer, Yang Xizong, a Cornell University graduate, planned six fountain basins, four stone statues, a rockery, an auditorium and a shooting range, but only one fountain was ever built. In 1923 the park published China's first set of park visiting rules. Since 1998 it has been free and open, with its perimeter wall removed.
