Wolfhagen

Wolfhagen is a town in Kassel district located in northern Hesse, situated at around 280 meters elevation. The municipality covers a substantial area with varied landscapes and several districts within its boundaries.

The town has a long settlement history and developed over centuries into an important local center. In the 20th century, a conscious decision to achieve energy independence marked a modern turning point in municipal infrastructure.

The town earned recognition in 1992 when it hosted the 32nd Hessentag, a significant state festival that brought together communities from across Hesse.
