Nebelhorn

The Nebelhorn reaches an elevation of 2,224 meters and features vertical rock faces that drop 600 meters on its north side in the Allgäu Alps.

The construction of the Nebelhornbahn cable car in 1930 marked the beginning of increased accessibility to this Alpine peak for visitors.

The mountain hosts the annual Nebelhorn Trophy figure skating competition and the Nebelhorn Classics freeride race events at its upper stations.

Visitors can access the summit via a modern cable car system with ten-person gondolas that operate throughout the year from the town of Oberstdorf.

The summit station provides views of over 400 peaks across four countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy through its observation platforms.
