Nebelhorn

Nebelhorn is a mountain summit in the Allgäu Alps reaching 2,224 meters, featuring dramatic rock faces on its north side. The peak includes several elevated stations and infrastructure built to serve visitors throughout the mountain.

A cable car system opened on this peak in 1930, making the summit accessible to larger numbers of visitors. This development marked the start of tourism growth on this Alpine peak.

The mountain hosts annual figure skating competitions and freeride racing events at its upper stations. These gatherings bring together athletes and spectators, making it a recognized meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts.

You can reach the peak year-round using a modern cable car system with ten-person cabins departing from Oberstdorf. The system includes several stops at higher elevations along the route.

The summit observation platforms offer views of over 400 peaks across four neighboring countries. On clear days, visitors can take in mountain ranges from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy all at once.
