Heide Park, Amusement park in Soltau, Germany.
Heide Park is an amusement park in Soltau, Germany, with more than forty rides spread across the grounds, including roller coasters and water attractions. The site combines themed zones, landscaped sections and dining areas across its layout.
The park opened in August 1978 with a handful of rides and drew around 200,000 guests in its first year. Over the following decades, the site grew through gradual additions and new attractions into one of the largest parks in the northern part of the country.
The name comes from the surrounding heath landscape, which still shapes the region around the grounds. Families from across northern regions make regular summer visits, treating the themed zones as a traditional destination for day trips across multiple generations.
Most attractions require a minimum height, though some areas welcome younger children as well. Weekends and public holidays often bring longer waiting times, so visiting on weekdays usually means shorter queues.
A scaled replica of the Statue of Liberty stands on the grounds, installed in the eighties. Guests can stay overnight in themed accommodation with interactive rooms, including areas based on children's characters.
