Boelcke-Kaserne, Military barracks in Rauental district, Koblenz, Germany.
Boelcke-Kaserne is a military barracks complex in the northern section of Koblenz featuring buildings with characteristic design elements from around 1900. The site comprises multiple structures arranged in a structured layout that accommodates various functional areas.
The barracks were built between 1896 and 1899 and originally housed a telegraph battalion unit. Significant expansions took place from 1906 to 1915 to accommodate growing needs.
The barracks were named in 1938 after a pioneering pilot who had earlier served in a Koblenz military unit. The layout and design of the buildings reflect this military heritage through their organized arrangement.
The site now functions as a residential area with some buildings used by a Bundeswehr specialist school for training and administration. Certain sections remain restricted and are not open to the general public.
French forces occupied the complex twice, giving it a French name during their first occupation from 1923 to 1929. This period left marks on the site's past.
