Edenkobener Hütte am Hüttenbrunnen, Mountain hut in Südliche Weinstraße, Germany
Edenkobener Hütte is a mountain house located in the Palatinate Forest, built with sandstone and wood on elevated ground. The structure features an indoor dining room and an outdoor beer garden where visitors can order drinks and simple food.
The structure was built in 1870 as a stone house and came under the ownership of the Palatinate Forest Association in 1929. Since then it has undergone several expansions to accommodate growing numbers of visitors.
The hut takes its name from the spring nearby and draws walkers and families from the surrounding region. The rooms reflect the traditional way people gather in the Palatinate Forest to eat and drink together.
The hut operates on a self-service basis and is open several days per week. The location is easily reached by walking or cycling, as it sits directly along hiking routes in the forest.
Next to the hut stands Ritterstein stone marker number 235, an old monument placed at a special location. This stone marks the point where small streams merge to form the Triefenbach creek.
