Albrecht-Dürer-Denkmal

The Albrecht-Dürer-Denkmal is a bronze statue in central Nuremberg's Albrecht-Dürer-Platz that depicts the Renaissance artist in formal attire. The figure is positioned to gaze across the city, creating a strong visual presence in the public space.

The foundation stone was laid in 1828, approximately 300 years after the artist's death, to honor his artistic legacy. The monument was completed in 1840 and was among the first in Germany to commemorate an artist.
