The red-colored Info-Box stood on stilts above the construction site at Potsdamer Platz, providing a viewing platform for visitors and information displays.
Commissioned through a competition in 1994, the Info-Box opened in October 1995 to showcase the development of reunified Berlin at Potsdamer Platz.
Between 1995 and 2001, the Info-Box functioned as an observation point where visitors could watch the transformation of Berlin's central district.
The structure contained 2,230 square meters of floor space dedicated to exhibitions and information about the ongoing construction projects at Potsdamer Platz.
Four million people visited this temporary architectural structure before its planned dismantling in January 2001, marking the end of its documentation mission.
