Marktkirche St. Cosmas und Damian

The Marktkirche St. Cosmas und Damian features two western towers, a cross-shaped floor plan, and stands as a central religious structure in Goslar's marketplace.

First documented in 1151, the church underwent significant modifications during the 14th and 15th centuries, including the expansion of its choir and addition of side aisles.

The church houses nine medieval stained glass windows from the 13th century, depicting scenes from the lives of Saints Cosmas and Damian across its walls.

Services take place every Sunday at 10 AM, with special children's church sessions occurring on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 12 PM for ages 5-11.

The northern tower contains three bells from 1848, with the largest bell named Johanna weighing 6.8 tons and measuring 2.21 meters in diameter.
