Klauskapelle, Romanesque chapel in Goslar, Germany.

The Klauskapelle stands as a rectangular stone structure with three round-arched windows along its north wall and measures 10 meters by 7 meters.

First mentioned in documents from 1186, the chapel served as a gate chapel until 1537, when it became a place of prayer for miners from Rammelsberg.

The chapel received its dedication to Saint Nicholas, patron of travelers and carriers, due to its location near the southern city gate of Goslar.

The building continues to hold special church services and maintains mining traditions, with guided tours available through the Frankenberg parish.

The chapel retains its original Romanesque altar table and a carved crucifix from the 15th century within its thick stone walls.
