Punta Croz, Mountain summit in Mont Blanc massif, France and Italy

Punta Croz reaches an elevation of 4,110 meters, forming part of the Grandes Jorasses ridge with steep granite walls and glacial formations.

The first successful ascent of Punta Croz occurred on June 30, 1868, by mountaineers Horace Walker, Melchior Anderegg, Johann Jaun, and Julien Grange.

The mountain bears the name of Michel Croz, a Chamonix guide who contributed significantly to early alpine exploration in the Mont Blanc region.

Climbers access the summit from Courmayeur via the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car, with essential stops at Refuge Torino for acclimatization.

The north face of Punta Croz rises 1,200 meters above the Leschaux Glacier, creating technical climbing challenges across mixed rock and ice terrain.
