Aiguille de Scolette, Alpine summit in Cottian Alps, Italy

Located at an elevation of 3,506 meters, the mountain features steep faces on both its northern French side and southern Italian section.

The first documented climb of Aiguille de Scolette occurred in 1875 when Italian explorer Martino Baretti reached the summit.

The mountain carries two distinct names: Aiguille de Scolette in French territories and Pierre Menue across the Italian border.

Climbers access the summit through the Col de Pelouse route, which begins at the border between Avrieux and Bardonecchia.

The mountain stands above Lake Rochemolles at 1,979 meters on the Italian side and Lake Scolette at 2,686 meters on the French side.
