Plage sainte hélène

Sainte Helene is a public beach in Nice stretching along the Mediterranean with stone and pebble areas positioned directly across from the Radisson Blu Hotel. The shoreline slopes gradually into the water with convenient access from the waterfront promenade.

The beach emerged during Nice's 19th-century transformation into a Mediterranean tourist destination with the development of its waterfront. It has remained a fixed location along the promenade since then.

This beach draws locals and visitors throughout summer who come to swim and spend time by the water. The spot embodies how Mediterranean communities use their shoreline as a natural gathering place for daily leisure.

Lifeguards monitor the beach from mid-June to mid-September, with ropes available to assist entry over the pebbles. Visitors should wear appropriate footwear for the rocky surface and plan visits during monitored hours for the best experience.

The beach provides mobility aids and access ramps specifically designed for people with reduced mobility, making it one of the more accessible spots on the coast. These facilities allow visitors with different abilities to reach and enjoy the water.
