Mtatsminda, Mountain summit in Tbilisi, Georgia

Mount Mtatsminda reaches 730 meters above sea level and stands as the highest geographical point in the capital city of Tbilisi.

The funicular railway connecting the city to Mtatsminda summit was constructed in 1905, featuring a 501-meter track with an incline between 28 and 33 degrees.

The mountain houses a pantheon where numerous Georgian writers, artists, and public figures rest, including Alexander Griboyedov and Akaki Tsereteli.

Visitors can reach the summit using public buses N90 and N124 from Rustaveli metro station or take the funicular, which operates from 9:00 AM to 4:00 AM.

The television tower Andza rises over 270 meters on Mtatsminda summit, serving as a broadcasting center and becoming a recognizable symbol of Tbilisi.
