Kazbegi national park

Kazbegi is a national park in the Caucasus Mountains offering alpine meadows, glacial lakes, and steep mountain terrain ranging from 1,400 to 5,033 meters in elevation. The landscape transitions from lush valleys to barren high peaks with permanent snow and rocky faces.

The park was established in 2007 to protect natural ecosystems and cultural sites in the Caucasus Mountains. Its creation reflected broader efforts to preserve this significant mountain region.
