Ляжгинский водопад, Mountain waterfall in Dzheyrakhsky district, Ingushetia, Russia.
The Lyazhginsky waterfall drops about 20 meters down a rocky face with a width of roughly 5 meters at an elevation of about 1310 meters. The water gathers in clear pools at the base before flowing down the mountainside to form small streams.
The waterfall took shape through glacial movements dating back to the 9th-10th centuries that carved a pathway down from the Malchechkort peak. Over many centuries, constant water flow deepened and refined the channel that feeds this cascade today.
