Heydar Aliyev Park

Heydar Aliyev Park is a garden square in central Tbilisi with paved walkways, seating areas, and mature trees throughout. Water fountains and ornamental plantings are distributed across the grounds, creating shaded spots at various points.

The garden square was established in 2004 as a joint project to strengthen relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan. Its creation reflected a diplomatic effort to foster cooperation and mutual understanding between the two nations.

The park serves as a gathering place for locals from across the city who come to spend time together and enjoy the greenery. Residents use the benches and pathways as part of their daily routine, making it a lived-in community space.

The grounds are accessible during daylight hours and provide shaded spots to rest during warm weather. Visitors will find seating and water sources available throughout to make their stay comfortable.

Bronze sculptures and ornamental details throughout the space incorporate traditional Georgian and Azerbaijani artistic patterns. These metalwork pieces demonstrate craftsmanship that interweaves elements from both cultures.
