Rike-Narikala Ropeway, Aerial lift in eastern Tbilisi, Georgia
The Rike-Narikala Ropeway extends 500 meters across the Mtkvari River, connecting Rike Park with Narikala Fortress at an elevation of 150 meters.
The construction and opening of this transportation system in 2012 marked a significant advancement in accessing the fourth-century Narikala Fortress.
The glass-walled cabins provide views of Georgian architectural elements, including the Metekhi Church, Freedom Monument, and Mother Georgia statue.
The ropeway operates daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with each cabin accommodating eight passengers for a five-minute journey costing 2.5 Lari.
The aerial lift system presents contrasting views between modern Rike Park with its contemporary structures and the ancient stone walls of Narikala Fortress.
