Pshav-Khevsureti National Park

The 1,400 square kilometer national park contains valleys, meadows, deep gorges, and mountains in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of northeastern Georgia.

Created in 2014 with support from the World Wide Fund for Nature, the park preserves medieval villages including Shatili, Mutso, Ardoti, and Khakhabo.

The territory represents the homeland of Pshav and Khevsur ethnic groups, who maintain their traditional festivals, music, dances, and local customs.

Visitors can access the park through the Tbilisi-Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili route and participate in hiking, camping, cultural tours, and wildlife observation.

The park houses rare species like leopards, East Caucasian turs, Bezoar goats, brown bears, European lynx, Caucasian red deer, and chamois.
