Zagreb Mosque

The Zagreb Mosque is a house of worship located in the Peščenica-Žitnjak district and combines contemporary building forms with traditional Islamic design principles. The structure features a single minaret approximately 35 meters tall and includes separate prayer spaces for men and women along with educational facilities.

Construction of this place of worship began in 1981 and was completed in 1987 with substantial support from the then-ruler of Sharjah. The building's completion represented a significant development in the religious landscape of the nation.

The mosque serves as a community gathering place for the local Muslim population and houses an Islamic secondary school named after the scholar Ahmed Smajlović.
