Táborhegy is a residential district situated on a hill reaching about 396 meters in elevation and featuring limestone rock formations and mixed forests. The slopes provide views across the northern sections of Budapest while maintaining green surroundings within the urban area.
The name comes from a military camp set up in 1686 during the recapture of Buda from Ottoman occupation. This event shaped the location's identity, and its name continues to reference this military chapter from the past.
