Szentendre marzipan museum, Marzipan craftsmanship museum in Szentendre, Hungary
The Szamos Marzipan Museum displays numerous confectionery pieces, including a detailed model of the Budapest Parliament building made entirely from almond paste.
Károly Szabó, who learned marzipan making in Beirut after World War II, opened this museum in 1994 through collaboration with chocolate master Mátyás Szamos.
The museum exhibits demonstrate Hungarian confectionery traditions through intricate marzipan replicas of architectural landmarks, historical figures, and traditional scenes.
Located at Dumtsa Jenő street 12, the museum operates daily from 9 AM to 7 PM during summer and 10 AM to 6 PM in winter months.
The collection features a royal carriage weighing 30 kilograms that required 80 hours to create its detailed decorations and fine patterns.
