Biria Fortress

Biria Fortress is a stone structure built at the peak of a mountain in northern Galilee with expansive views across the surrounding hills and valleys. The site includes walls, defensive structures, and passages that spread across the hilltop and reveal how the location was chosen for its military advantages.

The fortress was constructed during the Ottoman period as a strategic military outpost in the region. It later served as a crucial base for Jewish forces during the 1948 conflict, marking a key moment in the area's modern history.
