Gita is a community settlement located in the Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council in northern Galilee. It sits at approximately 432 meters above sea level and is surrounded by neighboring settlements including Ma'alot-Tarshiha, Jat, and Yirka.
The settlement was founded in 1980 as part of a regional development initiative in Galilee. It was resettled in 1993 by immigrants from the former Soviet Union.
