Pardes Hanna-Karkur, Local council and city in Haifa District, Israel
Pardes Hanna-Karkur extends across 22.6 square kilometers of land at an elevation of 48 meters in northern Israel, accommodating over 44,800 residents.
The settlement began in 1913 when Jewish organizations purchased land that included an Arab village named Karkur, documented on Palestine Exploration Fund maps from 1878.
The Pardes Hanna Agricultural High School, established in 1934, marked educational progress as the first institution in Israel combining agricultural training with academic studies.
The town connects to major transportation routes through the Caesarea-Pardes Hanna railway station and bus services linking to Highways 4, 65, and 70.
This municipality holds the distinction of being the most populated local council in Israel that has not received full municipal status.
