שמורת קנה וסמר

Kanah and Samar Nature Reserve is a protected area featuring wetlands, dense reed beds, and small bodies of water spread across the landscape. Marked walking trails pass through the terrain and lead to viewing spots.

The government set aside this wetland area for protection in 1988. Since then it has been managed to preserve the natural habitats and plant species found here.

This place serves as a learning destination where visitors come to observe local birds and plant life. You will see school groups and birdwatchers moving through the pathways, noting what they find.

Wear appropriate footwear as paths cross wet areas and terrain can be uneven in places. Early morning or late afternoon hours offer the best chances for observing wildlife.

Dense reed beds here harbor bird species that are rare elsewhere in the desert landscape. These wetlands create an unexpected refuge for migratory birds passing through arid surroundings.
