Bandhavgarh National Park

The park spans 716 square kilometers of land, containing diverse terrain with grasslands, forests, and hills that support numerous wildlife species.

The area served as a hunting reserve for the Maharaja of Rewa until 1968, when the government designated it as a national park.

The ancient Bandhavgarh Fort, located on a central hillock, connects to the Sanskrit epic Ramayana as a gift from Lord Rama to Lakshmana.

The park divides into three main zones - Tala, Magdhi, and Khitauli - with morning and afternoon safari sessions available through official booking channels.

The first white tiger, named Mohan, was discovered in this region in 1951, making Bandhavgarh the original source of all white tigers in captivity.
