ISKCON Temple, Bengaluru, Hindu temple in Rajajinagar, Bangalore, India
ISKCON Temple, Bengaluru is a Hindu place of worship in the Rajajinagar neighborhood of Bangalore, India. The structure rises over several floors and features a golden-plated flagpole standing 17 meters tall, along with a golden-plated dome that reaches 8.5 meters in height.
Former Indian President Shankar Dayal Sharma opened the temple in 1997, following the vision of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who founded ISKCON. The opening marked the realization of a plan the Swami had envisioned for Bangalore before his passing.
Different sections of the temple honor Radha Krishna, Krishna Balarama, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and Nityananda Srinivasa Govinda. Each worship hall features distinct representations of these deities that devotees visit during prayer times.
Visitors receive free prasadam meals during darshan hours, which the temple distributes through the Akshaya Patra Foundation program. The complex is accessible to people with reduced mobility, as ramps and elevators are available throughout.
The organization runs Krishna Lila Park on a 70-acre site along Kanakapura Road. This area combines religious narratives with educational facilities designed to introduce visitors to the life and teachings of Krishna.
