The memorial, opened in 2013 after delays since 2009, stands as India's first post-independence tribute to soldiers who died in service.
Over 22,000 names of fallen soldiers appear on memorial plaques, creating a space for collective remembrance of military sacrifices.
Visitors can access the memorial daily from 6 AM to 9 AM and 4 PM to 8 PM, with entry fees including musical fountain shows.
A 207-foot flagpole stands at the site, displaying an illuminated national flag while tanks, missiles, and aircraft enhance educational value.
