Lal Bangla, Imperial mausoleum in South East Delhi, India
The complex contains two main tombs constructed from red sandstone, featuring square rooms with rectangular halls arranged on an elevated platform.
Built between 1779 and 1780, these tombs house the remains of Lal Kunwar, mother of Emperor Shah Alam II, and Begum Jan, his daughter.
The architectural design incorporates late Mughal elements with square central chambers, arched roofs, and decorative domes topped with ornamental pinnacles.
The mausoleum stands within the Delhi Golf Club grounds on Zakir Hussain Road, with restricted access managed by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Three additional tombs belonging to Emperor Akbar II's family members share the complex, including the separate mausoleum of Syed Abid from 1626.
