Jaipur House

Jaipur House is a building in Delhi featuring a central dome and butterfly-shaped layout. The structure displays red and yellow sandstone walls with dark wooden paneling in its grand ballroom.

The building was designed in 1936 by British architect Charles Blomfield for the Maharaja of Jaipur. It was created as part of the development of Lutyens' Delhi in the early 20th century.

Since 1954, this building has housed the National Gallery of Modern Art and displays works by Indian artists including Rabindranath Tagore. The rooms tell the story of Indian modern art through their collections.

The building is located at the end of Rajpath facing India Gate. Visitors can explore both the art exhibitions and the architectural features of this former royal residence.

The first floor remained closed for a decade before undergoing extensive restoration. The work revealed original high ceilings, grand doors, and fireplaces that reflect its royal past.
