Vice President House

The Vice President House is the official residence located on Church Road and includes administrative offices, reception rooms, and landscaped gardens. The compound was designed specifically to serve both as a home for the country's second-highest official and as a venue for state functions.

The original residence was located at Maulana Azad Road from 1962 until the office moved to the current Church Road location in 2024. This shift was part of a larger urban redevelopment program in New Delhi's central area.

The architectural design incorporates elements reflecting India's governmental institutions while maintaining modern functionality for diplomatic gatherings and ceremonies.

The house is not freely open to the public as it remains a secured government compound. Visitors can typically view the building only during special events or by special request.

The completion of this residence marks the first residential project finished under the Central Vista redevelopment initiative in New Delhi.
