Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial occupies a former residential Lutyen building where India's second Prime Minister lived with his family for 14 years.

The memorial was transformed into a museum in 2005 after extensive renovations and inauguration by then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to preserve national heritage.

The museum displays personal belongings, including Khadi clothing, a wool coat from Nehru, and items that reflect the traditional Indian values of simplicity.

The memorial welcomes visitors from Monday through Sunday, except Tuesdays, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with guided tours available throughout opening hours.

The property includes a large lawn with an orchard, badminton court, and mandap where the Prime Minister conducted meetings under trees during his tenure.
