Sri Venkatesa Perumal Temple – Mondipalayam

Sri Venkatesa Perumal Temple is a Hindu shrine located at an intersection of four streets in Mondipalayam, distinguished by its main sanctum facing east. The structure contains several smaller shrines positioned within an inner courtyard space.

The shrine emerged roughly 300 years ago when a devotee discovered the deity at a sandy elevation after milk appeared there miraculously. This finding led to the establishment of the temple at that location.

The temple is dedicated to Vishnu and draws worshippers who come to pray and make offerings at multiple shrines. Visitors can observe how people move through the inner courtyards throughout the day, stopping at each shrine in a continuous cycle of devotion.

The temple opens daily in two time periods, welcoming visitors in the morning and late afternoon hours. Nearby bus stations offer direct connections, making it easy to arrive by public transportation.

The central deity is displayed as an unusual form with flat surfaces on four sides and a conical shape at the center. This distinctive representation is considered a natural manifestation of the divine.
