Orion Malls, Shopping center in Brigade Gateway, Bangalore, India
Orion Mall is a shopping center in Brigade Gateway, Bengaluru, developed by Brigade Group, with 820,000 square feet of retail space over four floors. Its facade mixes a pale beige wall carved with a tree and birds, a glass curtain wall bearing the white letters "ORION", and a dark grey section with a colonnade of vertical fins. The enclave also holds the World Trade Center, Sheraton Grand Hotel and Columbia Asia Hospital.
The mall opened in 2012 as part of the larger Brigade Gateway development, representing a turning point in Bangalore's retail expansion. Its completion helped transform the surrounding area into a modern commercial and business hub.
The mall's name comes from the Orion constellation, and its food court is called Sauce Pan, with counters such as Kailash Parbat, Rajdhani and Sukh Sagar alongside McDonald's and KFC. In September 2012 the Indian Air Force held an exhibition here with flight simulators and life-sized aircraft models.
The mall features multiple parking levels and valet service for those driving. Its central location makes it easily accessible on foot from nearby hotels and office buildings.
In September 2012 the Indian Air Force held an exhibition inside the mall, with flight simulators, life-sized aircraft models, drill performances by air warriors and an IAF-themed arcade game. In March 2014 the Fuel Auto Expo brought vintage cars and bike stunts to the same halls.
