Lahuradewa

Lahuradewa is an archaeological excavation site near a seasonal lake in Sant Kabir Nagar. The location reveals multiple layers containing ancient pottery, earthen floors, and traces of early human habitations.

The site shows evidence of human habitation from around 9000 BCE. Later, the location became home to rice farming, pointing to the emergence of settled communities.

The site contains objects like stone beads and copper tools that reveal a society with developed craftsmanship. These items show how people here mastered making things from different materials and shaped daily life.

The location sits in an open area, so sturdy footwear and sun protection are important when exploring the grounds. Before visiting, check with local guides or information centers to better understand what the site represents.

This location holds some of the earliest pottery pieces found across South Asia. Researchers also discovered grain remains and special structures here that prove rice farming occurred much earlier than previously thought.
