Gajpanth, Jain pilgrimage site and temple complex in Mhasrul, Nashik district, India
The Gajpanth temple stands on steep slopes at 122 meters elevation, featuring six temples and three caves known as chamar leni along a black stone staircase.
The site marks the salvation place of seven Balabhadra heroes including Vijay, Achal, Sudharma, Suprabh, Nandi, Nandimitra, and Sudarshan according to Jain Universal history.
Gajpanth functions as a Siddha-kshetra for the Digambara sect of Jains, housing sculptures of samavasarana, representing the divine preaching hall of tirthankara.
Located 16 kilometers from Nashik Road Railway station, visitors need to climb 450 steps to reach the temple complex managed by Registered Trust No. A-193/NSK.
According to local records, spiritual leaders at this location guided eighty million Yadav kings toward salvation through their teachings and practices.
