Saputara ropeway

The Pushpak ropeway links Sunset Point with Sunrise Point, delivering views of the surrounding valleys and forested landscapes throughout the ride. Each cabin carries four passengers and the journey takes roughly five to seven minutes.

The ropeway opened in 1987 as a new way to reach different points across the hill station. Since then it has become a regular part of how visitors move through the area.

The ropeway connects to areas where visitors encounter local craftsmanship and the daily practices of communities living in this hill station. Along the route, travelers find themselves in spaces where these traditions remain active and visible.

Tickets are available directly at the terminal stations and the service runs regularly throughout the day. Visitors enjoy the clearest views during good weather, making morning or late afternoon visits particularly worthwhile.
