Dang district

The Dang district extends across 1,764 square kilometers of southeastern Gujarat, containing dense forests and hills at an elevation of 1,800 feet.

Venomous snakes from the district forests contribute to medical research, as they are sent to Mumbai's Haffkine Institute for developing antivenom treatments.
