Experimenter Gallery, Contemporary art gallery in Ballygunge, India
Experimenter Gallery maintains two exhibition spaces in Kolkata, displaying paintings, photographs, sculptures, and installation works from emerging international artists.
Established in 2009 on Hindustan Road, the gallery expanded with a second location at Ballygunge Place in February 2018 to increase exhibition capacity.
The gallery organizes the annual Curator's Hub in July, bringing together international curators to discuss current practices in contemporary art presentation.
Visitors typically spend one hour exploring the exhibitions, with guided tours providing detailed information about displayed artworks and represented artists.
The Generator Co-operative art production fund, created during the pandemic, provides financial grants to artists outside the gallery's regular representation.
