Ararat Stadium

Ararat Stadium is a football venue in District 3 with a capacity of around 10,000 spectators set within a triangular complex covering 74,000 square meters. The site also contains two swimming pools, indoor basketball courts, tennis courts, badminton facilities, and a climbing wall.

The facility opened in 1971 under the Armenian Cultural Ararat Organization, which was founded in 1944 to serve Iranian Armenians. This organizational foundation shaped the development of the site from its creation.

Armenian script appears on the signage throughout the complex, and the facility operates under Armenian cultural stewardship, reflecting its role as a gathering place for the Armenian community in Tehran. The way the space is used and maintained shows this deep community connection.

The site groups multiple sports facilities in one location, making it easy to access different activities in a single visit. The triangular layout helps visitors navigate between the various courts and pools.

FC Ararat Tehran calls this stadium home while also hosting matches for the Iran women's national football team. This shared use makes it a place where different levels of the sport intersect.
