Province of Lodi

The Province of Lodi encompasses 783 square kilometers of fertile plains between the Adda and Po rivers, with 61 municipalities and 230,000 inhabitants.

The territory emerged from ancient Celtic settlements, later becoming Laus Pompeia under Roman rule in 222 BC as a strategic point along trade routes.
